It finally arrived!!!! My September Birchbox was a long time coming.
I felt like everyone and their mother already got theirs....
If you don't know what Birchbox is, you are missing out. I love trying new products, but I hate when they turn out to be something crappy and I waste a ton of money...
Well Birchbox is $10 a month. It's like a magazine subscription...but much, much cooler. You get a ton of amazing products to try each month. If you love them, they even give you discounts to buy the full size product!!! It would cost nearly $10 to buy just a trial size of these goodies!!
So without further ado.....
Once you open the box there's a welcome card with a bunch of great info on the front...and on the back are descriptions of what you got in your personalized Birchbox. Every Birchbox is different! You take a survey and they send you things that appeal to you.
Here were all my goodies...
This here is the Dr. Jart+ Beauty Balm. It's a 4-in-1 moisturizer, serum, sunscreen, and skin perfecting tint...I'm quite excited to see how this works out over the next week (: Who doesn't like cutting back on multiple tubes of product?!?!
O.M.G.
I haven't seen any other Birchbox on the blogosphere who got these bandaids...so when I saw them in my box I was SO excited!!! How cute are these??? And they gave me 20...That would cost $4-5 alone at the store.
I especially love the gold chain and lace ones!!
Then came some Benefit skincare.
It's a facial wash and clay exfoliator. I get dry flaky skin out here in the zero humidity Arizona air...and winter's coming so I'm sure it will only get worse. This could turn out to be clutch for my beauty bag.
And a $25 Gift Certificate to Madewell!! The box gets better and better!
They also gave us a free music download! (I can't take a picture of that!)
Then came the Fall Lookbook. It has everything from fashion advice, hair tutorials, nail polish ideas, makeup, and so much more!
Lastly was this package. By this point I was slightly bummed. There was these elastic hairbands in every Birchbox I had seen of my friends. I've been dying to try one because they supposedly don't leave a kink in your hair!!! Well, I untied my package and...
Tah-dah!!!! I was so so happy! I have to try this today to see if it really works! If it does, I plan to feature it as a DIY on the blog soon....(I've learned how to make the via Pinterest).
Also included in that little white bundle of joy was this great slate color nail polish...
...and Twirl perfume from Kate Spade.....
This box was amazing!!! Definitely worth more than $10!

ReplyDeleteBirchbox is amazing. The hair tie not so much. While it doesn't leave a kink, it also doesn't hold very well it's OK for sleeping and during the day. Its TERRIBLE for working out! Saw you on Follow Me Wednesday
ReplyDeleteI love the Birchbox! Yours seems to have a little better variety of items than mine does. Planning to post my review later today. Love your blog! Followed you from Followers to Friends Blog Hop!
ReplyDeleteI was disappointed with my hair ties as well. The best place to get these lovelies is from http://www.etsy.com/shop/PlumPosh! You can tell real love and care goes into these hairties. The one in my birchbox immediately disintegrated:-(
