I wanted to sit down for a second and figure out what I am thankful for. When you take some time to list these things out, your heart overflows with gratefulness.
So let's start out with these two little pumpkin heads.
These are our two little identical twin nephews. They were only about 1 month old at our wedding.
I guarantee I am currently snuggling them to death as you read this. We get to spend Thanksgiving with them (and Ryan's family) this year!
Our new house!
Even though we are still renting, I am so thankful to be out of apartments and to live in such a gorgeous area of Colorado Springs. And I'm sure Marcy loves having a yard.
Speaking of Marcy...
This little puppy brings so much joy into our lives.
Yes, she can be a handful, but she is full of so much love and personality.
The day we brought her home as a tiny little nugget of a puppy.
Sad about not getting any pumpkin french toast.
Dressed as a sock monkey for halloween.
Next, I am so grateful for my closest friends.
They are weird and silly just like me and I know they always have my back.
Regardless of where I've moved, we still keep in contact and I care about them a lot (:
I love my family. My parents are crazy and my sister is my best friend. They always give me so much love and support and I am so happy to spend Christmas with them in our new home!
I also could not have asked for better in-laws. Ryan's family is just as weird as mine.
Ryan has 5 kids in his family, so it was awesome to gain so many new siblings when we got married.
And most of all, I am so incredibly thankful for my husband.
I'm grateful for his service in the Army - that he fought over in Afghanistan so that we could remain safe and keep our freedoms in the United States. I am most grateful that he came home alive and not injured.
I am grateful that 15 minutes after this picture, he asked me to marry him and that he loved me enough to want to share the rest of his life with me.
I am thankful he gave me the wedding of my dreams and gave me his heart.
And I am most grateful that he is weird, like me, and accepts me just the way I am. I feel so blessed to be married to my best friend and to have finally found true love.
I encourage you to sit down and really think about the things you are thankful for. Too often we get caught up in the things we wish we had or the way we wish things were.
Don't forget all of the amazing things you have personally been blessed with this Thanksgiving (:
