Cook.Taste.Winter.Smile. {Review}

Recently, I was contacted and asked if I wanted to review a cookbook. This wasn't your typical cookbook: It would be my first virtual cookbook.

Cook.Taste.Winter.Smile is an iBook for your iPad!

It is one of four books in the Cook.Taste.Smile. series.
They create a cookbook for each season of the year.

What I love about the cookbook is that it was actually a lot more easier and user friendly than a printed paper cookbook has ever been in the past!

It has bright, beautiful pictures of the food you are making

It provides sample menus

Then, once inside the recipe you wish to make, there are detailed, step-by-step instructions. You can highlight things, view wine suggestions, and even find tips to make the recipes healthier or less expensive.

They also provide random, cool, tips and tricks, like how to shop savvy.

The book includes 30 different recipes, ranging from appetizers, to main dishes, delicious desserts and so much more!

I chose to make two of the recipes to feature on the blog!

The first is their recipe for Blueberry & Clementine Muffins.
You can view my version and photos of the recipe here.

Keep an eye out for the other recipe later this week!

My only complaint was changing the measurements to US measurements.
It really wasn't hard though and I just used the websites found here & here.

The recipes turned out amazing and they really pushed me to create things outside my typical "cooking comfort zone".

I would highly recommend this cookbook to anyone who is looking for delicious recipes to try.
The iBook is so user friendly and ANYONE could use it (:

Cook.Taste.Smile is offering my readers a discount on the cookbook today only!
If you head to iTunes and purchase Cook.Taste.Winter.Smile. today, you can get it for only $1.99!!

Enjoy!

  1. "Cooking comfort zone" - I am totally using that! I'm always trying to explain why I'm so proud of myself for certain recipes and it's because I ventured outside of my "cooking comfort zone."

I love the idea of an app for cooking, too. Since I've basically made the iPad my cookbook anyway.

    Great review!

  2. Cookbook by season is such a great idea! Winter squash always seems to mystify me. Too bad I don't have an iPad. Darn! :)
