about me

Hello! I'm Kaitlyn. I got married in June 2012 to the most amazing man I could have ever asked for, Ryan. You can read all about our crazy, unbelievable love story here.

A week after we got married, we packed up our life in Nashville and move to the-middle-of-nowhere, Arizona.

It was there that I decided to create a blog to keep our families and friends updated on our new life. Shortly after starting Wifessionals, I fell in love with the blogging community and everything it offered. It has introduced me to some of the sweetest women and now, dearest friends, that I have ever met.

6 months after moving to Arizona we were restationed to Colorado! Yes, all of our travels are thanks to Uncle Sam. Ryan was in the Army, which means that I had the wonderful learning experience of being an Army wife. I always thought I would never marry into the military lifestyle, but as I have come to realize, life doesn't usually turn out like you would expect...which I am finding out is usually a blessing (:

In January 2013, we found out that we would be adding a new member to our family in September! Discovering we were pregnant was an overwhelming blessing, as we lost our first pregnancy in 2012. It was such an exciting journey, and I learned that I needed to trust God with my worries and concerns. If you want to see all of the posts relating to pregnancy, including series and advice from other moms, click on the picture to the left.

In September 2013, we welcomed little Rilynn into our lives. She came earlier than expected and her birth was far better than anything I could have ever planned myself. I am so grateful to have her and learning to be a mom has been such a rewarding experience. Not everything has been easy, but I am so happy to finally be taking on the role I feel I was always meant to have - being a mommy.

I absolutely love meeting new people and making friends. I would love to chat with you about anything! One of the things I love doing most, is connecting with smaller bloggers and helping them grow. If you have any questions, feel free to email me.

Above all else, I love my life. I love my family and my husband and everything that we have been blessed with. It's a crazy and unpredictable life that we lead, but I wouldn't want it any other way!

Thanks for stopping by!

Baby boy is due in 10 more weeks and I'm so glad I stumbled onto your blog! Tons of blessings and love from San Diego!

Any way....in regards to your latest post. I am truly sorry to hear that there are sucky sucky people out there that feel the need to trash talk about you and your beautiful family. I am sorry to hear you probably won't be blogging any longer. I had been following since before your pregnancy with Rilynn was announced. I will definitely miss your posts, I really looked forward to reading them. Best wishes to y'all in the future. Don't be a stranger, ya hear?
